There are some successful new developments being built in the Northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities. Certainly one of those developments is Prominence Creek which is adjacent to the nearly completed Prominence Woods that was so popular.  These developments are located in the southeast corner of Maple Grove. They have a bit of an advantage right now because there hasn’t been a lot of development yet in Northwestern Plymouth. That will likely change once the 2030 Comprehensive Plan is okay’d by the Met Council and confirmed by the Plymouth City Council.
During the recent spring Parade of Homes, I was pleasantly surprised to see all the people touring these beautiful, luxury homes in Maple Grove. Part of the appeal of these new developments is that they are in the Wayzata School District which remains in very high demand. Homes are priced from about $650,000 up to $1.2 million. The neighborhood does include a community pool and small play area.
There are three main builders there: Creek Hill Custom Homes, Gonyea Homes, and Hanson Builders.
New construction has remained soft throughout the U.S. as well as the Twin Cities, but there are a few developments holding their own even in this present real estate market.
