The number of foreclosure and short sales has nearly doubled in St. Louis Park, MN over the past year.   That said they still only represent 15% of the overall market in St. Louis Park.

Plymouth, MN Foreclosures and Distress Sales – October 2009 Update

The Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors has published a fantastic interactive tool that breakdowns the various cities in the metro by foreclosures/distress sales and traditional sales.

Plymouth, MN continues to see some foreclosures and short sales but they only represent about 16% of the overall inventory.  Click here for the full report for Plymouth, MN.

 

Twin Cities Foreclosures – Supply Only 1.3 Months

Consumers and investors continue to aggressively buy bank owned property in the Twin Cities.   A few weeks ago, the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors published some excellent charts on the ratio of home sales that are foreclosures vs. short sales.   Short sales continue to be very difficult to get approved as the banks do not yet seem to have a process that works effectively to dispose of these homes.

Light Rail in Southwest Suburbs of the Twin Cities

Hennepin County has chosen route 3A for the proposed billion light rail line that will run from Minneapolis through St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and end in Eden Prairie.  It is expected this will be approved by the Met Council next year.
