Foxberry Farms in Medina, MN is a lovely neighborhood built by Lundgren Brothers before they sold out to Lennar. The homes range in size from about 3800 total finished square feet (when the basement is finished) to about 6000 square feet. Most of the lots are 1/2 to one acre. It’s a country setting in Medina not far from Highway 55 and County Road 116. Wild Meadows and the Medina Golf and Country Club are to the east and Bridgewater is to the west.
So how far off are home prices? For the most part I’ve been finding that we are 25-30% off from the peak. Well that was just confirmed when the home at 4705 Settlers Court, Medina MN 55340 just sold for $613,000. The brokers involved were RE/MAX Results and Edina Realty. The home sold in late December 2005 for $875,000. That was THE peak in Medina. Last week this closed for $613,000 as noted for a decline of 30%. This starts to become some serious money when you’re looking at taking a $250,000 – $300,000 hit. That said, it’s still better than the 50% reduction we’ve been seeing in some truly luxury estates in Medina, MN – see post link below.
BTW, check out this Google search on Foxberry Farms. It appears no one else is writing about this neighborhood except for me. Strange.
